A cruise ship vacation in picturesque places is a dream
holiday; families, friends, honeymooning couples can find freedom, tranquility,
beauty and relaxation during a cruise ship vacation. Sail boat charters are
among the most popular boats ever. And what a pleasure to feel in control of
your holiday! A boat trip gives you the chance to be free to choose your own
route, free to experience something new. You can cruise also along canals or
rivers, admire beautiful landscape or have boat diving tours.
People can be disappointed that they can’t search the
Internet and find necessary reviews of the boats they need. Studying and
evaluating a boat is really difficult; it is also time consuming. People
interested in buying a boat can’t afford a vessel poorly made and loose his
investment. Buyers must be assisted, to make good decisions. People must pay
attention to the quality and performance issues, to find out what makes a good
sea boat or what boat is easy to repair and maintain.
Every boat owner knows that the initial cost is often really
high; an important consideration when you need a new vessel is what the boat
will be worth in a few years in the case that an unexpected event is making you
sale it. The immediate depreciation of a new boat is not very important, but
you must consider it.
As in our days quality and aspect seems to be more important
than quality, first time buyer are more attracted to large size, glossy boats.
As these vessels must float in sea water, sunlight, snow and ice, rain and
rough weather of lakes, sea and ocean, bays and rivers, the quality must be the
first criteria when you decide to purchase a boat. It is not wise to choose
style and glossy appearance instead the floating qualities; this mistake can
have serious consequences.
A boat buyer must consider the option of new or used
carefully. There are many valuable used boats; first time buyer prefer new
boats, and experienced navigators buy used vessels. The depreciation curve for
many boats shows us the higher the boat quality, the sooner the depreciation
curve will decrease. Lower quality boats loose less value. The flattening out
starts around four or five years; a five years old boat has the annual loss of
value only a few percentage. The general opinion is that a new vessel works
better for the first time buyers, and for the individual who uses the boat
longer than five years. The longer the
vessel is owned, the less annual cost becomes. Boats are not an investment;
like cars, they are a huge expense.
Some people believe that diesel power is more economical
than gas; in reality, after four or five years, diesel engines are much more
expensive than gas; diesel engines are more expensive to maintain too. A few
thousand dollars are the price s a gas engine to be rebuild or replaced; the
costs of a diesel engine is up to tens of thousands dollars.
